Iv been really wanting to blog this wedding for a while now! Stephanie & Andrew are a great fun couple.. I figured this after meeting them at The Custard Factory, Digbeth, for their engagement session in June. It was a fantastic shoot.. full of colour and Steph & Andy were up for trying some super cool pics!
Their wedding was held at The Crows nest wedding venue at Barton Marina located in my home village of Barton under Needwood. I headed over to where Steph was on the morning of the wedding which was at the Hilton hotel in the grand grounds of St Georges Park. I spent a few hours with Steph and her lovely family getting shots of al the details, nerves and laughter.
After getting shots of them all in the huuuuuge limo Steph had arranged, I quickly hurried away to capture her arrival at The Crows Nest. Their ceremony was lovely.. emotional...funny and it really expressed how much love Steph & Andy have for each other.
The weather was rather good..no signs of rain so we managed to get all the group shots done before I took the newly weds off for some shots of just the two of them. Once we started walking over to the first location we soon realised the wind had picked up and we were now struggling with gail force winds with a bride with a 12 ft veil!....as you can imagine these two things do not go too well together!hehe I had been requested by Steph to get a shot with her long view in somehow, so I got creative and managed to get some great shots of the veil over their heads....me in there too and snapped away! We then had to ditch the veil before Steph got dragged into the river...
Then onto some great speeches especially by Stephs lovely dad who happened to be so nervous before his speeches..that after his speech was over you could see he was like a different person! hehe bless him. I think he'd been saving up all his energy for his incredible moves on the dance floor that evening!!! (check them out below!)
Steph & Andy had a great first dance... they didn't go for a smoochy first dance but rather a little rock out to their chosen track! which I can't for the life of me remember who it was by...but defo one of my faves!
I really enjoyed photographing the wedding of these two...a truly lovely couple and I wish them all the best in the future ... please have a look below at some shots from their day
