Bernie and Andy chose Lower Damgate Farm near Dovedale as the setting for their rustic farm wedding. All eyes were on the weather man that morning as we knew Bernie and Andy had hopes for an outdoor ceremony with the peak district hills as their backdrop and the goats in the next field looking on..
We arrived late morning to capture everyone getting ready...capture the amazing barn they had decorated.. and as the schedule of the day was a late ceremony time we managed to get all the formals out the way.
Whilst taking some detail shots of the outdoor flowers and where Penny, their chosen celebrant was going to conduct their ceremony, Emma and I happened to witness some rather cheeky goats jumping over their enclosure gate and begin to eat all the flowers that Bernie & Andy had placed there... We swiftly ran off to tell someone who managed to shoo them away! Close call guys!! hehe!
Well the weather stayed really good so the ceremony went ahead as planned..each reading their own vows to each other and having several touching readings from friends and family..Everyone then went on to have canapés and played games on the fields in the sun...ate... listened to some great speeches then danced the night away under sparkly lights and bunting! Oh and not forgetting taking Bernie & Andy off to get some portraits of just the two of them and a sneaky goat crept up behind me and ate an important piece of paper out of my back pocket!
Guys it was a great wedding and both Emma and I feel so privileged to have been chosen by you to capture your special day.
