Jodie & George booked us early 2017 and it seemed so far away until their wedding this August!. We were so thrilled that they booked us.. not only could we tell from the off they were a lovely couple but they were getting married at the stunning Shustoke Farm barns. Neither Emma or I had shot here together before so we were super excited to visit this venue.
Emma headed off to the boys who were staying at a local B&B in Shustoke and I headed over to Jodies moms house in lichfield where Jodie and her 6 bridesmaids were getting ready. I arrived mid way through the morning preps to capture all the morning shenanigans and Emma captured the guys perfecting their collars and having a sneaky pint!
We arrived at shustoke in good time before their 2pm ceremony to await Jodies arrival and photograph all the lovely details around the venue and we totally loved the Disney Beauty & the beast theme! Check out the Rose on top table it was so cute!
Jodie walked hand in hand with her mother down the aisle to marry her beast ( sorry George only joking!).. her prince charming.. It was a beautiful ceremony and they walked out Mr & Mrs Eveleigh!
The Pimms and Corona got flowing, the weather was good if not a little windy and after group shots we headed off for a short while to get some lovely shots of just the newlyweds. Before we knew it we were being called in for food so we planned to do some more shots later in the afternoon.
Speeches followed the meal and we had some heartfelt and hilarious speeches from a number of people including Jodies grandad and stepfather and Georges 3 best men! Most grooms dread their best man speech..George had to endure 3! Poor George!
The day was nearing towards evening and just as evening guests were starting to arrive the heavens opened! This delayed us in getting a few more portraits of Jodie & George but we managed to find an area protected by trees at the front of the venue to get some night time shots of them. These turned out really well and had a bit of a ‘Beauty And The Beast’ vibe to them with the posing and lighting.
The weather started to ease up and guests mingled in the courtyard to await first dance and to party the night away! We lay in wait to capture some dancefloor antics!
We parted ways shortly after to allow the newlyweds some camera free time so they could dance like they just don’t care and it would never be caught on camera!
We totally loved photographing this wedding and want to give Jodie and George a big thankyou for allowing us over all other photographers to share their day with them. Its such a privilege.
Here are the highlights of their amazing day..
